Duties & Responsibilities

Ensure drivers comply with delivery and collection standards.

Ensure that vehicles are cleaned as per the vehicle cleaning register.

Ensure all vehicle pre- and end-of-shift checklists are completed.

Action all discrepancies highlighted on the vehicle checklists.

Ensure that all vehicles are roadworthy and that license and roadworthy certificates is up to date.

Ensure all driver licenses are valid.

Ensure all drivers have the correct PPE.

Followup and report on all vehicle incidents.

Identify areas of driver and route security concerns and provide preventative measures.

Ensure that absentees are managed and do not affect the delivery schedule.

Ensure all deliveries are completed daily and exceptions are resolved and reported.

Ensure that the daily fail register is updated at all times

Minimize fails and aim to maintain a 0% fail target..

Action all items raised as deviations e.g. Safety concerns; KPI non achievement.

Ensure drivers are on duty as per schedule.

Ensure drivers are signing timesheets in and out.

Ensure drivers to scan in using the biometrics system.

Ensure all Large vehicles have an assistant assigned to driver

Ensure all Small vehicles delivering in high risk areas have an assistant assigned to the driver

Ensure drivers are assigned the correct registrations as per the vehicle allocation Register

Ensure drivers who have parcels assigned to their profiles are not assigned as an assistant. These drivers must be assigned a vehicle and scan the parcels on their profiles

Ensure there is order and discipline every morning when drivers are signing out vehicle

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum of Grade 12

Tertiary qualification preferred

Drivers license
