Job Description
Role Overview
Internal Sales is responsible for supporting the external sales team and sales manager in driving revenue growth by managing quotes, coordinating service delivery, and ensuring a seamless customer experience. This role also plays a key part in monitoring the tender department which includes preparing and assisting in the response to tenders (RFPs/RFQs), ensuring accurate, compliant, and competitive submissions.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Support & Coordination
- Assist Business Development Managers with day-to-day sales activities and administrative support
- Prepare and manage quotes for connectivity, cloud, and VoIP solutions
- Liaise with suppliers for pricing, feasibility and availability
- Track orders from quote to installation and ensure timely updates to clients
- Maintain CRM system with accurate opportunity and customer data
- Follow up on outstanding quotes and assist in closing deals
Customer Engagement
- Act as a point of contact for client queries, providing quick and accurate responses
- Build strong relationships with customers through proactive communication
- Assist with onboarding new clients and service changes/upgrades
- Handle escalations internally to ensure customer satisfaction
Tender / RFP / RFQ Management
- Assist with review incoming tenders, setting up internal meetings in order for the team to assess technical requirements, timelines, and compliance criteria
- Coordinate internally with sales, technical, legal, and finance teams to gather required input
- Assist where needed to compile, format, and submit high-quality tender responses within deadlines
- Assist with sourcing and consolidating pricing from multiple suppliers to ensure competitive bids
- Ensure all documentation (certifications, compliance docs, SLAs, etc.) is accurate and up to date
- Track tender submissions and maintain a repository of past responses for reuse
- Assist in post-submission follow-ups and clarifications with clients
Operational & Administrative Duties
- Ensure all quotes and proposals meet company margin and pricing guidelines
- Assist with reporting on pipeline, conversions, and tender success rates
- Maintain organized documentation for deals, tenders, and supplier pricing
- Support internal process improvements to increase efficiency in sales operations
