A well-established organisation based in Sandton is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join its finance team. This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on finance professional who enjoys taking ownership of the full finance function while contributing to financial controls, reporting, and team leadership.
Duties & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will bring a strong background in accounting, exposure to auditing processes, and the ability to work closely with management to support business objectives and financial performance.

Minimum Requirements

BComm in Accounting or Finance

Articles with at least 5+ years post experience

Solid understanding of the full finance function

Previous auditing experience

Management experience

Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly management accounts, annual financial statements, and supporting reports.

Oversee general ledger management, reconciliations, and month-end processes.

Manage cash flow, budgets, and forecasting to support business operations.

Ensure compliance with tax, VAT, statutory, and regulatory requirements.

Coordinate and support internal and external audit processes.

Partner with management to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.

Key Skills & Competencies

Sound knowledge of financial reporting, compliance, and audit requirements.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Leadership and team management capability.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
