Duties & Responsibilities
A well-established organisation is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full finance function while contributing to business performance through accurate reporting, compliance, and financial management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, managing reporting processes, and supporting the finance team in achieving strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the full finance function

Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports

Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management

Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and statutory requirements

Manage audit processes and liaise with external auditors

Reconcile balance sheet accounts and oversee general ledger integrity

Review and improve internal controls and financial processes

Assist with strategic financial planning and decision-making

Lead, mentor, and support junior finance staff

Ensure accurate and timely tax and regulatory submissions

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

Completed articles would be advantageous

Approximately 10 years of relevant finance experience

Strong auditing experience is essential

Proven experience managing the full finance function

Previous team management or supervisory experience

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

High attention to detail and strong organisational skills

Must reside in Johannesburg North
