About the Role

Are you a detail-driven finance professional who thrives on precision, deadlines, and staying ahead of regulatory change? Alliance Media is looking for a **Tax & Compliance Accountant** to join our Finance team and take ownership of our tax compliance, statutory submissions, and internal controls.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to build a career at the intersection of tax, compliance, and financial reporting — playing a genuinely important role in keeping the business on the right side of every regulatory obligation.

What You’ll Be Doing

– Preparing and submitting monthly, provisional, and annual tax returns
– Ensuring full compliance with applicable tax laws and statutory requirements
– Assisting with corporate income tax calculations and supporting schedules
– Maintaining accurate tax records — returns, payments, and correspondence
– Liaising directly with tax authorities (including SARS) and resolving queries
– Supporting internal audits and strengthening tax-related internal controls
– Monitoring changes in tax legislation to keep the business compliant
– Contributing to financial reporting and tax-related analysis

What You’ll Bring

– A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
– ACCA / CIMA (completed or in progress is advantageous)
– 3–5 years’ experience in a tax or compliance-focused role
– Solid working knowledge of South African tax regulations
– Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Sage X3, or similar)
– Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
