Job Description

Our client is a respected and established manufacturer in Southern Africa, specialising in the design, manufacture, and installation of high-performance fans and ventilation systems. Their solutions serve diverse sectors including industrial, mining, HVAC, power generation, and marine.

They are seeking a hands-on and experienced Site Manager to lead one of their site installation teams. The successful candidate will oversee the on-site execution of ventilation projects, ensuring quality, safety, and project milestones are met while collaborating closely with mechanical engineering and production teams.

✅ Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily site operations for ventilation and ducting installation projects.
  • Lead and coordinate a dedicated on-site installation team.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and project timelines.
  • Liaise with mechanical engineers, project managers, production staff, and draftsmen.
  • Conduct site visits prior to installation to assess requirements and plan resources.
  • Plan projects efficiently, including hiring installation equipment (cranes, cherry pickers, scaffolding).
  • Prepare and maintain safety files for each installation, ensuring full compliance with site regulations.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, proactively resolving on-site challenges.
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.

🎓 Candidate Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12) essential; technical or engineering qualification advantageous.
  • Proven site management experience in the mechanical or HVAC industry.
  • Strong understanding of ducting systems and installation processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to manage site activities directly.
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to various project sites.
