Senior Software Developer (Data Engineering)
Remote-first (Cape Town, Johannesburg)
Join our client, a leading machine learning platform transforming mobile gaming analytics, who is looking for a Senior Software Developer with a passion for data engineering to help build and scale the pipelines and systems that power our investment-grade ML predictions.
What you’ll do:
Design and maintain scalable data pipelines
Ensure data quality, reliability and performance
Collaborate with data scientists and product teams
Lead technical delivery and drive continuous improvement
What they’re looking for:
5+ years’ software development experience
Strong Python and SQL skills
Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and data platforms
Knowledge of Polars or similar data processing frameworks
A proactive, problem-solving mindset and startup mentality
