Our client is looking for a highly accomplished Senior Software Developer to lead the evolution of a mission-critical software platform. This opportunity will suit someone with exceptional backend development expertise, strong architectural thinking, and a passion for building scalable, high-performance systems.

Key Responsibilities

Rewrite and optimise an existing C++ application using the most appropriate modern programming language.

Develop robust APIs and support migration towards a microservices environment.

Extract and redesign business logic currently embedded within PostgreSQL stored procedures.

Develop solutions for MIME email processing, content injection and message formatting.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps and product stakeholders.

Review software architecture and recommend performance improvements.

Mentor developers and promote engineering best practices.

Participate in code reviews, testing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

Relevant Bachelor’s Degree.

10+ years’ experience in software engineering.

Strong C++ comprehension skills.

Advanced proficiency in Rust, Go, Java, C#, or another high-performance language.

Experience with PostgreSQL, REST APIs and SQL development.

Exposure to Azure Kubernetes, Docker and cloud-native development.

Understanding of software security and scalable system design.

Excellent analytical, communication and leadership abilities.
