Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking a Controller for Vehicle Stock at our VW Germiston branch. In this role, you will focus on the management and oversight of vehicle inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels, accurate reporting, and efficient stock control processes. You will play a critical role in supporting the overall operational efficiency and financial health of the dealership.
Key Responsibilities
– Manage vehicle stock levels, ensuring alignment with sales forecasts and operational needs.
– Conduct regular stock audits to maintain accuracy of vehicle inventory records.
– Prepare and present detailed reports on vehicle inventory status, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
– Collaborate with sales and service teams to ensure timely delivery and availability of vehicles.
– Implement best practices in stock management processes and procedures.
– Maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to facilitate effective vehicle procurement and stock turnover.
– Analyze stock performance and provide insights to support decision-making on ordering and sales strategies.
– Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant legislation in all stock-related activities.
Requirements
– Demonstrable experience in inventory management, stock control, or a related field within the automotive industry.
– Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights.
– Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
– Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team and engage with suppliers.
– A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
– A relevant qualification in business administration, finance, or supply chain management.
– Experience in a dealership or automotive retail environment.
– Knowledge of VW vehicles and parts would be advantageous.
– Familiarity with compliance requirements specific to vehicle stock management.
