Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced BI Analyst with strong expertise in Power BI and Data Engineering to join their team. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality business intelligence solutions that enable informed decision-making across the organisation. The successful candidate will play a key role in transforming the Power BI reporting environment, improving report quality and user experience and enhancing the team’s delivery cadence through continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports and visualisations that support business decision-making.
- Lead and contribute to Power BI transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Improve the look, feel, usability and performance of existing reports and dashboards.
- Build, maintain and optimise data pipelines and data engineering solutions that support business intelligence reporting.
- Develop and maintain data models to ensure accurate, reliable, and scalable reporting.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, delivery efficiency and overall solution quality.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity and compliance with organisational standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality BI solutions within agreed timelines.
- Provide technical guidance and promote best practices within the BI reporting environment.
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Microsoft Power BI Certification (required).
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (required).
- Proven experience leading or driving Power BI transformation initiatives.
- Strong hands-on experience developing enterprise Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Experience in data engineering, ETL development and data integration.
- Strong SQL and data modelling skills.
- Experience working with large and complex datasets.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.

Working Model
This is a hybrid role. The successful candidate will be expected to work from the office on designated office days to collaborate closely with the team. Candidates located within a reasonable commuting distance will be preferred, as regular in-person collaboration will support quicker onboarding, knowledge sharing and successful delivery.
