Rand Water is looking for a candidate to assist in performing maintenance work in the electrical department. Reporting to the Electrical Foreman, successful candidates will assist Supervisor / Artisan in maintenance of electrical equipment to ensure availability of an efficient plant and continuous water supply to customers.

### **Minimum Requirements**

– Grade 12/ N3 certificate
– NQF Level 4 Electrical Engineering certificate
– 2 years working experience in the electrical field
– Code EB or C1 Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass Rand Water`s K53
– Trade test Certificate will serve as advantage

### **Primary Duties**

– Assist Artisans in the maintenance of electrical equipment and perform minor electrical installations in the plant and workshops
– Installation of new cables, digging of trenches, strapping of cables and installing cable racks
– Repairs of damaged equipment such as geysers, stoves, heaters and ovens
– Replacement of faulty plugs, lights and isolators
– Testing of low voltage cables, motors and locate fault using various testing equipment’s.
– Conduct cable joints and fault finding
– Ensure good housekeeping is maintained
– Collect spares from the suppliers and stores
