LiquidCapital is seeking to employ a qualified and experienced Junior Accountant. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and highly skilled Finance Team.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Finance Manager.
**JOB DESCRIPTION:**
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the finance function through the accurate processing of financial transactions, preparation of reconciliations, month-end reporting activities, invoicing, and regulatory compliance. The role assists in maintaining the integrity of financial records, ensuring deadlines are met, and providing financial support across multiple business entities
**SPECIFIC ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:**
– Process and post monthly journals, including accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and cost allocations
– Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items
– Perform loan account reconciliations, interest calculations, and prepare loan confirmations
– Assist with maintaining the fixed asset register and process asset additions, disposals, and depreciation
– Prepare and process invoices, recoveries, and revenue transactions
– Reconcile sales, cancellations, clearing accounts, and other control accounts
– Process shared cost allocations and intercompany transactions
– Prepare monthly HFM reporting pack
– Prepare VAT201
– Prepare the tax calculation and journal
– Assist with the budget/forecast preparation
– Review, verify, and release payments in accordance with company policies
– Prepare cash flow forecast
– Perform revenue and expense reconciliations
– Monitor and account for prepaid expenses and monthly accruals
– Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits and financial reviews
– Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
– Provide general accounting and administrative support to the finance team
– Ad hoc finance duties as and when needed
**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:**
– B Com degree or equivalent qualification
– Minimum 1-2 years finance reporting experience

– Ability to work within a high volume / high-pressure environment
– Excellent Excel skills
– Strong technical financial skills
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with customers, team members and senior management
