ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
At the direction of the Theatrical Costume Manager, collaborate with staff and customers during design meetings for each production.
Assists in coordination of costumes or related equipment by show / production ready for shipment on schedule.
Assists in review scripts and recordings for character detail.
Assists in research historical sources for period style, social conventions and customs.
Assists in arranging costumes in order of use to facilitate distribution procedures for performances.
Reviews and maintains worksheets for dressing lists, show notes, or costume checks.
Monitor and secure inventories of costumes, wigs, or makeup, reporting status regularly to the
Theatrical Costume Manager and Production Manager.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One to three years’ related experience and/or training in a theatre or costume rental setting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of industry and theatrical productions is strongly recommended.
High School Diploma or Equivalent (College preferred)
Proficient computer skills.
Ability to multi-task and be well-organized; able to manage priorities and workflow.
Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Prepares reports and correspondence as needed.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, sale prices, total purchases, etc.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
