Job Description

Our client, a leading company based in Montague Gardens, Cape Town, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee and optimize warehouse operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated professional with strong leadership skills, proven experience in inventory control, and a solid background in logistics and supply chain management.

The successful candidate will manage daily warehouse activities, ensure compliance with safety and operational standards, and drive efficiency across all storage, dispatch, and distribution functions.

✅ Key Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ warehouse management experience.
  • Qualification in Supply Chain / Logistics (essential).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Experience with ERP systems (Syspro advantageous).
  • Experience with QWIX (advantageous).
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management and controls.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team player.

📊 Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise receipt, dispatch, and storage of merchandise.
  • Oversee picking, receiving, storage, dispatch handover, security, maintenance, sanitation, and administration.
  • Train, evaluate, and reward staff while ensuring proper maintenance of company assets.
  • Manage warehousing and distribution operations.
  • Maintain and improve operational policies and procedures.
  • Safeguard warehouse operations by complying with security protocols.
  • Ensure effective and safe use of warehouse equipment.
  • Uphold health, safety, hygiene, and security standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of warehouse activities.
  • Conduct and manage stock counts.
  • Oversee staff time and attendance.
  • Optimize warehouse space for efficient picking and storage.
  • Assist with daily warehouse operations when required.
