Job Description

Provide professional cleaning services across academic and support areas, ensuring a hygienic, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Core Purpose

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across university buildings, venues, and outdoor spaces.
  • Deliver a professional cleaning service that supports the academic and social environment of the institution.

Key Performance Areas

  • Clean university buildings, corridors, and public/outdoor spaces.
  • Perform general and deep cleaning of floors, surfaces, carpets, and ablution facilities.
  • Clean offices, classrooms, residences, libraries, labs, conference rooms, kitchens, and staff areas.
  • Ensure occupational health and safety standards are upheld.
  • Manage keys/swipe cards, cleaning consumables, and equipment responsibly.

Core Competencies

  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures, methods, and materials.
  • Experience with strip-and-seal processes and carpet cleaning.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 8–12 education.
  • Up to 12 months’ experience in a cleaning role within operations or similar environment, with proven teamwork.
