Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly organised Shipping & Logistics Coordinator to manage incoming containers, oversee conversions, and ensure smooth logistics operations within the automotive sector. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll liaise with Bidvest, dealers, and international partners to keep supply chains running seamlessly.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage incoming containers with CBU units and coordinate unpacking with Bidvest
  • Ensure units allocated for conversions are released from bond stores
  • Allocate back orders and stock orders, assisting dealers with queries
  • Prepare shipping instructions for imports and exports
  • Dispatch missing manuals to dealers weekly
  • Support the Sales Administration Team by approving dealer claims and investigating marine claims for India approval/rejection
  • Provide back‑up support to Logistics Assistants and Inventory & Debtors Clerk

What we’re looking for:

  • Formal certification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2–3 years’ experience in shipping and logistics management (automotive industry essential)
  • Strong proficiency in computer software, especially advanced Excel functions
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and solve problems proactively
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional telephone manner and ability to handle sensitive conversations
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
