Job Description

R487,197 per annum (Level 09) – False Bay TVET College, Central Office. Requirements: Grade 12/Matric, a recognized National Diploma (NQF6) in Financial Management at NQF7 or equivalent qualification, and 3–5 years’ experience in a Financial Management environment with supervisory experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, knowledge of the PSET and CET Acts, PFMA, Treasury Regulations, Public Service Regulations, and the Public Service Act, as well as knowledge of Financial Management Systems, are essential. A valid driver’s license is required. Competencies include understanding the Skills Development Act, the National Student Financial Aid Scheme, and related legislation. Duties include the collection, recording, and safekeeping of revenue, cashier and banking services, and processing electronic payments. Monitor and review collection procedures to ensure compliance with relevant prescripts and tariffs, oversee banking processes, and ensure accurate bank reconciliations. Verify and allocate electronic payments, safeguard source documents and face value items. In debt management, oversee the identification and accurate recording of debts owed, liaise with debtors in complex cases to determine repayment conditions and timelines, and obtain accounting officer approval for such arrangements. Ensure accurate allocation of received funds and monitor and report on revenue.
