1. Role Responsibilities

• Perform routine vehicle maintenance to ensure safety and reliability.
• Oversee loading of vehicles with goods and materials.
• Execute transport and delivery operations efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with transport regulations during all deliveries.
• Carry out general logistics duties as required.

2. Qualifications

• Completed Grade 12.
• Possess a valid, un-endorsed Code 14 driver’s licence.
• Hold a valid Public Driver’s Permit (PDP).
• Certified with a relevant Crane Driving qualification.

3. Experience

• Minimum 3 years’ experience operating inter-link or abnormal interrupter vehicles.
• At least 2 years’ experience driving other vehicle types.
• Hands-on experience with Hydraulic Truck Mounted Cranes.
• Proven ability in driving abnormal load tractors, both in multi-tractor applications and solo operations.

4. Knowledge and Skills

• Skilled in defensive driving techniques, evaluated in-house.
• Familiarity with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, particularly regarding alcohol and drug abuse.
• Understanding of the Road Traffic Act, including reckless driving, speed limits, and DUI regulations.
• Ability to identify hazardous conditions and mitigate risks.
• Competence in reading and interpreting crane hand signals and executing crane movements.
• Knowledge of quality and safety systems.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Customer-oriented, innovative, honest, reliable, and literate.
