About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to oversee daily operations within our workshop environment. You will focus on streamlining processes, managing staff, and ensuring high standards of quality and safety are met. This leadership position plays a critical role in optimizing efficiencies and maintaining the overall productivity of the workshop.

Key Responsibilities
– Manage and supervise workshop staff, ensuring effective communication and efficient workflow.
– Oversee the scheduling and coordination of projects to meet deadlines and client expectations.
– Implement and maintain safety protocols in compliance with industry standards.
– Monitor and evaluate the performance of staff, providing coaching and support as needed.
– Develop and refine standard operating procedures for workshop activities.
– Ensure equipment and tools are maintained and in good working condition, coordinating repairs as necessary.
– Maintain inventory of materials and supplies, ensuring timely reordering when necessary.
– Liaise with clients and other departments to provide updates on project progress and resolve any issues.
Requirements
– Proven track record in workshop management or a similar supervisory role within the manufacturing or engineering sector.
– Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices applicable to a workshop environment.
– Demonstrable experience in managing teams and fostering a positive work culture.
– Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
– Familiarity with budgeting and resource allocation for workshop operations.
Preferred Qualifications
– Relevant trade qualification or certification, such as a diploma in engineering or management.
– Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles or process improvement methodologies.
– Additional management training or leadership development courses.
– Knowledge of quality management systems and maintenance practices.
