We’ve got a position available for a head of compliance

Company: King Price Life

Purpose of position:

Heading and managing King Price Life’s compliance control function.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining regulatory oversight and monitoring
• Acting as the main point of contact with the regulatory authorities
• Handling governance and board and/or subcommittee reporting, as well as reporting to regulatory authorities
• Overseeing licensing and competence
• Policy management and implementation, including the design, implementation and maintenance of compliance risk monitoring plans
• Ensuring legislative compliance by tracking, assessing and implementing necessary policies, processes and controls to ensure compliance with new or updated legislation, and promoting a sound compliance culture
• Providing advice and training by acting as the subject matter expert to management on regulatory requirements, and championing a strong culture of ethics, TCF and governance

Requirements

• Relevant 3-year degree (Bachelor of Law or Business Administration)
• Occupational Certificate as Compliance Officer
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a compliance management role for a life insurer
• Technical and regulatory expertise
• Good understanding of relevant legislation (POPIA; Insurance; FAIS; FICA; Companies Act)
• Risk assessment and management experience (beneficial)
