We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable cloud and DevOps environments on Microsoft Azure. This role involves developing and managing CI/CD pipelines and leveraging Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, ARM, Bicep). The incumbent will perform vulnerability assessments, proactive system monitoring, and incident management while collaborating with development and operations teams to enforce best practices.
What you’ll do:
Performing daily application availability checks and event monitoring tasks
Provide proactive system monitoring
Communicate accurately and timeously with relevant clients regarding incidents logged
Working well with colleagues/team player/willing to assist
Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines
Integrate security controls into DevOps processes (DevSecOps)
Perform vulnerability assessments and remediation across infrastructure and applications
Collaborate with development and operations teams to enforce security best practices
Automate compliance checks and security testing
Monitor and respond to security incidents in cloud and on-prem environments
Your Expertise:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Enterprise Technologist or equivalent role;
Experience in:
Managing Microsoft Virtual Server Farms
IaaS Experience
Good knowledge of networks
Advantageous:
Microsoft Certified Professional and/or
Microsoft Technology Associate and/or
Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate or
Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert.
C0onfiguring and Operating a Hybrid Cloud with Microsoft Azure Stack Hub
Qualifications:
National Senior Certificate/ Matric/ N3/ Grade 12
Microsoft Cloud Certification (Azure)
Pass typical recruitment checks (criminal, qualification, ID verification checks, etc.)
Security Certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+)
Containerization and Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar)
CI/CD Pipeline Design and Management
