We are seeking an experienced Logistics Planner to join a dynamic supply chain environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating branch stock requirements, planning vehicle loads, and ensuring efficient logistics operations.

The role requires strong logistics planning skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective stock management and customer service delivery.

Minimum Requirements

• Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years’ experience within a logistics or supply chain environment
• Experience within the chemical manufacturing industry essential
• Strong logistics planning and transport coordination experience
• Experience with stock management and inventory optimisation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience working with Sage ERP advantageous
• Experience with demand planning software advantageous
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate branch stock requirements and vehicle load planning
• Assess demand and plan trailer, tanker, and container loads
• Ensure efficient stockholding across branches by preventing overstocking and stock-outs
• Plan collections and deliveries according to operational requirements
• Prepare picking slips and dispatch documentation
• Coordinate load changes with warehouse teams
• Manage branch queries and provide customer backorder ETAs
• Ensure vehicles are loaded according to required deadlines
• Coordinate export order requirements with production and warehouse teams
• Liaise with procurement, production, supply chain, and other departments
• Manage return loads and optimise transport costs
• Monitor logistics performance and compile reports
• Support stock count activities
