Job Description
1. Role Responsibilities
-
Use the correct tools and equipment to complete assigned tasks effectively
-
Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency situations when required
-
Complete job cards accurately, including details of work performed and parts used (PMs)
-
Conduct and actively participate in risk assessments
-
Ensure that materials, spare parts, and equipment are available when needed
-
Apply sound judgment when deciding on the repair or replacement of components
-
Maintain a consistently high standard of workmanship
-
Carry out all work in line with required standards and technical specifications
-
Record the outcomes of all legal inspections using the correct documentation
2. Qualifications
-
Grade 12 (Matric)
-
Qualified Electrician with Trade Certificate
-
Medium Voltage Certificate
3. Experience
-
At least 2 years’ experience working within a mining environment
4. Knowledge and Skills
-
Proficient in English (able to speak, read, and write)
-
Willing and able to work standby shifts and overtime
-
Familiar with risk assessment procedures
-
Valid Code 08 driver’s license
-
Basic computer literacy
