The main purpose of this role will be assist with the overall management of the store to ensure, operational and administrative duties are performed as per the standard policy and procedure.</p>

<li>Ensure dispensary and self-medication areas are adequately staffed, and that staff work within their scope of practice</li>
<li>Ensure Good Pharmacy Practice rules regulations are adhered to by staff</li>
<li>Ensure no expired/short-dated stock is held</li>
<li>Ensure expired stock is regularly disposed of and kept separate to usable stock</li>
<li>Ensure negative stock is investigated and managed daily</li>
<li>Prepare for stocktake in advance</li>
<li>Follow stock ordering process to reach maximum purchasing compliance</li>
<li>Maintain stock levels</li>
<li>Ensure Schedule 6 medication is locked away, and that the register is maintained and balanced quarterly</li>
<li>Ensure SAPC registration and annual registration fees are kept up to date</li>
<li>Accurately interpret scripts and act in a professional and responsible manner, and within the legal requirements in accordance with the SAPC</li>
<li>Capture script details accurately and verify patients’ details on the system</li>
<li>Ensure accurate picking/packing/labeling and checking of medication and be aware of common dosages as well as important drug interactions</li>
<li>Provide accurate instructions to patients regarding the correct use of medicine supplied</li>
<li>Keep abreast of changes in medical aid procedures and requirements for claims and dispensing</li>
<li>Explain all medical aid costs to patients</li>
<li>Process all paperwork for accurate submission of claims to medical aids</li>
<li>Ensure authorisation of chronic, HIV and AIDS, and oncology medication</li>
<li>Maintain customer profiles on the system</li>
<li>Merge profiles locally, and UCS should be notified to merge profiles centrally</li>
<li>Take note of any messages on the customer profile, and take suitable action</li>
<li>Ensure Dispensary Admin Assistant is trained and in control of the bulk of the dispensary admin</li>

<li>Assist with the manufacturing of a non-sterile medicine or scheduled substance according to a formula and standard operating procedures approved by the responsible pharmacist</li>
<li>Assist with re-packaging of medicine</li>
<li>Assist with the distribution and control of the stock of Schedule 1 to Schedule 5 medicines or scheduled substances</li>
<li>Assist with the ordering of medicine and scheduled substances up to, and including, Schedule 6 according to an instruction of a person authorised in terms of the Medicines Act to purchase or obtain such medicine or scheduled substance</li>
<li>Assist with the reading and preparation of a prescription’ the selection, manipulation or compounding of the medicine; the labelling and supply of the medicine, in an appropriate container following the interpretation and evaluation of the prescription by a pharmacist</li>
<li>Accurately interpret scripts and act in a professional and responsible manner and within the legal requirements in accordance with the SAPC</li>
<li>Capture script details accurately, and verify patients’ details on the system</li>
<li>Ensure accurate picking /packing/labelling and checking of medication and be aware of common dosages as well as important drug interactions</li>
<li>Give accurate instructions to patients regarding the correct use of medicine supplied</li>
<li>Keep abreast of changes in medical aid procedures and requirements for claims and dispensing</li>
<li>Ensure all medications are checked for accuracy by and signed by a pharmacist</li>
<li>Advise and assist patients at the dispensary, self-medication and front-shop</li>
<li>Follow up with patients regarding script tracking report as requested by the dispensary manager, and follow up on appointments</li>
<li>Explain medical aid costs to patients</li>
<li>Provide information to individuals in order to promote health</li>
<li>Process all paperwork necessary for the accurate submission of claims to medical aids</li>
<li>Correct errors on scripts rejected by medical aid</li>
<li>Ensure authorisation of chronic, HIV and AIDS and oncology medication</li>
<li>Maintain customer profiles on the system</li>
<li>Merge profiles locally and UCS should be notified to merge profiles centrally</li>
<li>Take note of any message on the customer profile, and take suitable action</li>
<li>Report on low / out of stock levels, and stock errors to the dispensary manager</li>
<li>Receive dispensary stock in accordance with Dis-Chem’s SOPs, and merchandise according to FEFO</li>
<li>Facilitate bi-annual stock takes</li>
<li>Exercise stock, cash and asset control</li>

<h4>Duties &#038; Responsibilities</h4>

<li>Coordinate and manage all key service providers in line with company expectations (including but not limited to guarding, security, cleaning and logistics)</li>

<h2>Duties &#038; Responsibilities</h2>

<p>To meet store sales targets and deliver fantastic customer service whilst effectively planning, organizing and controlling all operations of a retail store in accordance with the Company’s standards and procedures. This document must be read in conjunction with the performance appraisal document and forms part of the employee’s terms and conditions of employment.</p>
<ol>
<li>Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing, mentoring, and leading staff.</li>
<li>Interact with sales merchandisers, representatives and regional managers to evaluate sales strategy and results.</li>
<li>Enforcing and implementing AWESOME customer service to give customer a WOW experience.</li>
<li>Attend to unique and individual shopping needs of each customer and always put  the Customer first. </li>
<li>Develop, motivate and inspire respective teams in an ENTHUSIASTIC manner.</li>
<li>Maintains store staff job results by recruiting, coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.</li>
<li>Authorise all work schedules (including but not limited to work, break and leave).</li>
<li>Ensure continuous training and development of all staff, and consistently carrying out training.</li>
<li>Scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results</li>
<li>Handle customer complaints in a calm and professional manner</li>
<li>Managing and controlling all daily store operations to maximize sales turnover whilst keeping stores expenses within allocated budgets and stock management.</li>

<li>Minimise all controllable expenses and costs.</li>
<li>Protect company assets and minimise all shrinkage, damages and theft.  </li>

<li>Retain records of all stock and financial transactions.</li>
<li>Conduct floor walks daily and initiate warehouse and/or overstock replenishments and face-ups.</li>
<li>Implement, monitor and enforce all SOP’s.</li>
<li>Maintaining company merchandise and housekeeping standards.</li>
<li>Coordinate and manage all key service providers in line with company expectations (including but not limited to guarding, security, cleaning and logistics)</li>
<li>Enforce effective and efficient implementation of all sales promotions (Including but not limited to road shows, centre management liaising etc ).</li>
<li>Identify marketing opportunities and communicate to all relevant parties</li>
<li>Ensure promotions are executed timeously and execution is planned in advance.</li>

<li>Ensure all relevant documentation is received from the Recruitment team when loading new employees onto SAP.</li>
<li>&nbsp;Ensure all terminations for employees are captured on SAP and their salaries be adjusted according to termination documentation to ensure accurate payment.</li>
<li>&nbsp;Ensure all job title and department changes are captured when relevant documentation is received, and necessary signatures are present.</li>
<li>&nbsp;Ensure employee provident fund, medical aid and any other relevant documentation is administered according to Dis-Chem standard operating procedures and that employee information is correctly captured on SAP before on time submission to these third parties</li>
<li>Accurately capture employee leave according to leave forms received and correct any leave type where necessary.</li>
<li>Ensure employees receive their pay slips within a reasonable time frame</li>
<li>Follow up with stores regarding relevant outstanding or incorrect documents that need to be processed.</li>
<li>Inform management of any discrepancies regarding systems, documentation or hours worked and act accordingly.</li>
<li>Attend to assigned heat calls on a daily basis to ensure problems or concerns are addressed in the most least time and most cost-effective manner possible.</li>
<li>Escalate unresolved problems or concerns to management to facilitate the problem-solving process.</li>
<li>Assist employees with any payroll queries they might have and if necessary direct the queries to the relevant people and /or management.</li>
<li>Adhere to Dis-Chem Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.</li>
<li>Adhere to Health and Safety rules and regulations.</li>
