Job Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day asset maintenance activities to ensure critical banking assets remain available, reliable, safe and fit for purpose.
• Maintain accurate asset records, registers and control information to support ownership, traceability, valuation, depreciation and lifecycle decision-making.
• Enable financial performance against targets by identifying deviations and recommending corrective action or providing justification.
• Ensure asset maintenance activities comply with Group policies, procurement requirements, regulatory obligations, health and safety standards, risk controls and audit expectations.
• Partner with Finance, Procurement, Technology, Facilities, Risk, Compliance and business units to plan asset refresh, replacement, disposal and investment decisions.
• Identify opportunities to optimise asset lifecycle cost, improve maintenance productivity, standardise processes and reduce avoidable spend.
• Provide timely reporting on asset condition, maintenance backlog, service levels, risk exposure, spend, exceptions and improvement initiatives.
• Embed a client-centric and operationally resilient culture by ensuring asset maintenance supports branch, campus, data centre, ATM, workplace and business service requirements.
• Build a capable, high-performing team by setting clear objectives, managing performance, developing technical capability and promoting continuous improvement.
• Ensure business continuity by having processes and systems in place to support all activities.
• Meet internal customer requirements to ensure adherence to service level agreements.

Requirements

• 5–8 years’ experience as a Data Analyst.
• Experience with financial systems and system integrations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with large datasets.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Banking or financial services experience is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate trade finance business, regulatory and compliance requirements into clear business, functional, and non-functional requirements
• Analyse end-to-end trade lifecycles (origination, documentation, processing, settlement) and identify risks, control gaps, and operational inefficiencies
• Define, document and optimise current- and future-state Trade processes, ensuring full coverage across front, middle and back-office functions
• Produce high-quality analysis artefacts including BRS, FSDs, user stories, use cases, data models, SOPs, and process maps aligned to Trade Finance standards
• Participate in Trade system implementations, upgrades, and integrations, including SWIFT messaging and document management platforms
• Collaborate with Solution Architects and Trade system vendors (e.g. Finastra, Eximbills, Surecomp) to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Support UAT planning and execution, including test case design, defect management, and traceability to trade requirements and business scenarios

Requirements

• Minimum 6–10 years’ experience as a Business Analyst in complex, multifaceted financial services environments
• Hands‑on experience across Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models
• Strong business analysis fundamentals aligned to BABOK and SDLC
• Strong stakeholder facilitation, influencing, and negotiation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and conceptual thinking
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and SQL for requirements and analysis

Education

• Matric (required)
• Relevant tertiary qualification (Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma, or recognised certification from an accredited institution)

– Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications
– Experience with cloud-based technologies and deployment strategies, such as AWS or Azure.
– Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the financial industry.
– Familiarity with front-end technologies like JavaScript, Angular, or React.
– Relevant certifications in Java development or cloud computing.
