Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly capable and experienced Inventory and Supply Chain Manager to join Curve Gear — a fast-growing South African menswear brand known for engineering premium, durable, and functional clothing. This role is pivotal in ensuring optimal inventory levels, streamlined replenishment flows, and accurate forecasting across our direct-to-consumer stores, online platforms, and supplier networks.

You’ll be responsible for owning the end-to-end inventory strategy — from forecasting demand and managing consolidations to ensuring stock accuracy and minimizing dead stock.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Planning & Flow Management

Manage, monitor, and optimize inventory flow across stores, warehouse, online, and production.

Implement and manage stock allocation and replenishment systems based on sell-through, demand, and sales velocity.

Ensure accurate and timely consolidations of stock across locations to avoid stockouts or overstock situations.

Forecasting & Demand Planning

Build and maintain rolling demand forecasts using sales data, trend analysis, and historical performance.

Align forecasts with marketing campaigns, product launches, and seasonal demand cycles.

Track high-performing SKUs and proactively plan replenishment and reorders with product and buying teams.

Supplier & Logistics Coordination

Manage supplier relationships and liaise with internal teams for order placements, production updates, and inbound logistics.

Coordinate shipments from CMTs or overseas suppliers to the central warehouse and stores.

Work with 3PLs or internal logistics to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective transport.

Stock Control & Auditing

Oversee inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliations.

Investigate variances and implement corrective action to minimize shrinkage and errors.

Maintain systems and reporting processes to ensure real-time visibility of stock.

Returns, Transfers, and Safety Stock

Manage and process inter-store transfers, customer returns, and B2B return-to-origin (RTO) flows.

Maintain appropriate safety stock levels across key SKUs.

Lead markdown and clearance decisions for end-of-life or slow-moving inventory.

Analysis & Reporting

Develop dashboards and reports to track inventory KPIs (stock cover, sell-through, aging, etc.).

Provide insights and recommendations to improve working capital and turnover ratios.

Support executive team with forecasting for new store rollouts and expansion planning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Must-Haves:

5+ years of experience in inventory, supply chain, or stock planning — ideally within fashion, apparel, or footwear industries.

The Store Leader is accountable for the overall performance, presentation and people of a single Curve Gear store. The role exists to deliver the store’s sales budget while protecting margin, controlling stock and cash, leading and developing the store team, and upholding the Curve Gear customer experience and brand standards every trading day.

As the most senior person in the store, the Store Leader translates company standards into daily execution — making sure the store opens on time, is correctly staffed and merchandised, and runs to the same standard as every other store in the group, whether or not management is present.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Financial Performance
• Achieve or exceed the store’s monthly and annual sales budget.
• Monitor daily and hourly performance against target and take corrective action during trade.
• Drive conversion, average transaction value (ATV) and units per transaction (UPT) through service and add-on selling.
• Manage controllable costs, with particular focus on the wage-to-turnover ratio.
• Understand and contribute to the store’s four-walls profitability.

Store Operations & Standards
• Ensure the store opens and closes on time and to standard, following company open/close and cash-up procedures.
• Maintain visual merchandising, housekeeping and product presentation to brand standards throughout the day.
• Ensure continuous replenishment so that core sizes on key lines remain available.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

People & Team Leadership
• Recruit, induct, train and develop store staff to required competency levels.
• Plan and publish staff rosters aligned to trading patterns and labour budget.
• Conduct daily team briefings and ongoing on-the-floor coaching.
• Manage performance and conduct fairly and in line with company policy and SA labour law.
• Develop an Assistant Manager (2IC) capable of running the store in the Store Leader’s absence.

Stock, Cash & Loss Prevention
• Ensure accurate receiving, stock counts and inventory records.
• Manage shrinkage through controls, awareness and adherence to procedure.
• Oversee cash handling, banking and daily cash-ups in line with company controls.
• Secure stock, cash and the premises at all times.

Customer Experience & Brand
• Deliver the Curve Gear service standard, including honest fit and product advice (notably on safety footwear, where correct fitment is a safety requirement).
• Administer the Hoodie-for-Life guarantee and product returns accurately and professionally.
• Process Kit Your Crew (B2B) in-store orders — capturing requirements, setting turnaround expectations and following through to fulfilment.
• Handle customer queries and complaints to resolution.

Social Media Strategist

Curve Gear | Cape Town

We’re looking for the person who can make South Africa stop scrolling and say: “That’s my brand.”

Curve Gear is hiring a Social Media Strategist to help build one of South Africa’s most exciting workwear and lifestyle brands online.

Curve Gear is not just selling clothing. We are building a brand for the people who build South Africa.

From construction sites and engineering projects to farms, workshops, factories and weekend adventures, Curve Gear creates premium workwear and lifestyle gear for men who need clothing that works as hard as they do.

We are looking for a Social Media Strategist who is passionate about social media, storytelling, brand building and content that actually moves people.

This is not a “just post something” role.

We need someone who can look at a jacket, boot, work shirt or pair of utility pants and see the story behind it. The person wearing it. The job it was made for. The lifestyle it represents. The pride behind the brand.

Curve Gear has grown from its industrial roots into a proudly South African workwear and menswear brand with stores across the country and a growing online presence. Now we want to take the brand to the next level on social media.

What you’ll do

You will be responsible for building and executing the social media strategy for Curve Gear across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube.

You will help us turn products into stories, campaigns into conversations, and customers into a proud community.

Your role will include:

Developing monthly social media strategies and content plans.

Creating strong content ideas for Reels, TikToks, posts, carousels, campaigns and launches.

Writing captions, hooks and post concepts that speak directly to the Curve Gear customer.

Working with the creative team to plan shoots, product stories and campaign angles.

Spotting trends and turning them into relevant Curve Gear content.

Planning content around product drops, store launches, promotions, seasonal campaigns and brand moments.

Working with influencers, ambassadors, customers and real South African “providers” to tell authentic stories.

Understanding what performs and using insights to improve future content.

Making sure the Curve Gear voice stays strong, consistent and proudly South African.

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for someone who loves social media and understands that a brand is built one story at a time.

You are probably the kind of person who notices a great hook, saves good ads, studies what brands are doing online, and has strong opinions about what makes content work.

You should be:

Passionate about social media, content and brand building.

Creative, but also strategic.

Good at spotting stories in everyday moments.

Comfortable writing clear, strong captions and content ideas.

Interested in South African culture, retail, workwear, lifestyle, sport, outdoor living and entrepreneurship.

Able to think like a customer, not just a marketer.

Organised enough to manage a content calendar.

Confident enough to bring new ideas to the table.

Curious about what makes people stop scrolling, engage and buy.

Experience we’d love to see

Experience in social media strategy, content creation, brand marketing or digital marketing.

A strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn and short-form video.

Experience working with retail, fashion, lifestyle, outdoor, workwear or e-commerce brands would be a bonus.

Basic understanding of Meta ads, content performance and online sales funnels would be helpful.

Copywriting skills are important.

A portfolio, examples of content strategies, social media pages you’ve managed, or content you’ve created will strengthen your application.

This role is perfect for you if…

You don’t want to just schedule posts.

You want to help build a brand people are proud to wear.

You understand that social media is not only about pretty pictures, but about emotion, timing, story, community and trust.

You can take a product like a work boot and turn it into a story about grit, pride and South African work ethic.

You can take a jacket and make people feel, “That’s me. That’s my lifestyle. That’s my brand.”

About Curve Gear

Curve Gear creates premium workwear, footwear and apparel designed for South African conditions. The brand’s W.O.R.K collection is positioned as “Engineered for the Workday,” and the company describes its promise around quality, durability and locally made production.

The brand speaks to providers, builders, makers, workers, business owners and men who demand more from what they wear.

How to apply

Send us:

Your CV or LinkedIn profile.

A short video telling us why you would be a great fit for Curve Gear.

Examples of social media pages, campaigns, posts or content ideas you have worked on.

And answer this one question:

If you had to create one viral content idea for Curve Gear, what would it be?
